CPS offers an integrative approach that puts the joy back into education for teachers and students alike. Based on the ideas outlined by Riane Eisler in Tomorrow's Children, Partnership Education helps young people achieve their highest potentials both academically and personally. Our mission is to work with educators to transform educational process, content, and structure in order to help young people acquire the skills and knowledge essential for fulfilling and productive lives and a sustainable, equitable, and peaceful future.
To those working to transform our educational system we offer:
Learning Communities Served
- Teachers & K-12 Students
- School Administrators
- Teacher Development Program Directors and Facilitators
- University Professors
- Parents & Families
- Homeschoolers
- Community Service Providers
- Policy Makers
At the Heart of Partnership Education is Gender Balance. By balancing the powers of the two halves of humanity, we can do more to solve the problems of violence, the environment, overpopulation, poverty, social injustice, and the misdistribution of resources than with any other intervention. By transforming our schools, we will help both girls and boys realize their untapped human potentials and plant the seeds for a peaceful, caring, and sustainable future.
The Nova School, a public charter high school in Seattle Washington, is our first partnership educational development public school site. They have strengthened the partnership elements in their school and developed new curriculum materials that can be used by other schools.
We are also collaborating with universities and other organizations. The Institute for Field-Based Teacher Education at California State University Monterey Bay is developing a master's degree for partnership teacher development. We invite you to become partners in this historic enterprise, to contribute your financial support and to bring Partnership Education into your schools and communities.
