facebook Riane Eisler Action Network

I want to invite you to join our just launched facebook Riane Eisler Action Alert Network. I hope to see many of you on the network, as we will soon start posting news and other updates on it. And please also share your thoughts and reflections on activities that can help us build that more caring and sustainable partnership future.

This facebook page is the latest addition to our Center for Partnership Studies (CPS) Caring Economics Campaign.

In addition, we continue to revamp and enrich the CPS website, so please check it out and use its many resources in your life and work.

Real Wealth Public Policy Project

Another component of the CPS Campaign, our Real Wealth Public Policy Project is also moving forward fast. Together with the Urban Institute in Washington DC, CPS will release a report next month on new economic indicators that go beyond GDP to include what really matters -- people and nature -- and highlight the status of women and children. CPS and our partners will then convene technical stakeholders and public policy leaders to plan how best to leverage these alternatives to GDP. So please stay tuned.

Caring Economics Certification Program

There's also exciting news about another key component of the Caring Economics Campaign: the many talks the 60+ leaders, who attended our Fall 09 CPS Real Wealth Conversation Program training in Seattle are giving all around the country, as well as in Australia and Costa Rica. This remarkable pilot cohort continues to guide the development of the Conversations Program by sharing what is working best for them in the communities they are talking with, and offering creative ideas for ways to grow the reach and potency of the program. We are working now on a web-based certification program - but it is still in its early stages.

Riane's Upcoming Schedule

I will be in Chicago on May 4, keynoting the Women Employed luncheon at the Fairmont Hotel, which will be attended by over 1,000 business, education, political, and civic leaders in support of the economic advancement of women.

On May 1, I will be doing a teleseminar together with my friend and colleague, Marianne Williamson, opening the Inspiring Women Summit. This unprecedented event, hosted by Devaa Haley Mitchell, will continue over 8 days featuring 52 women leaders - with registration at no cost. I hope you will join me and Marianne on May 1 as we talk about questions of importance to women. I am delighted to be part of this wonderful series, including women I know and admire, such as Christiane Northrup, Hazel Henderson, Nina Rothschild Utne, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Margaret Wheatley, Belvie Rooks, Beth Wilson, Dorka Keehn, Claire Zammit, Durre Ahmed, Osprey Orielle Lake, Joan Borysenko, Monica Sharma, and many other leaders.

On May 13, I will be doing another webinar, this time about a Link TV program I taped with Deepak Chopra which also airs on May 13. Called Global Oneness, it focuses on our interconnection with one another and our planet.

Now in Paperback!
