Resources for Partnership Communities

Use these resources to build partnership communities.

CPS and each partnership community mutually supports and encourages each other by sharing information, creating a culture of caring and sharing and learning together about the effective ways we can create this seismic shift from domination to partnership systems. Knowledge is shared through guest speakers and communities assisting each other as they figure out how to move their work forward. We are a growing community of people committed to caring, within and beyond our individual communities. We open our doors to those doing this work and offer encouragement and hospitality to other communities engaged in the same work.

Study Groups

Many partnership communities begin with study groups to talk about the exciting possibilities of a partnership society. These groups can lead to other discussions, including personal and community applications and transformation. The ultimate goal is cultural transformation, which is achieved as a result of every individual and collective action toward partnership and away from domination. The important thing is to find the common point of interest that people can get excited about, can commit to and would be willing to give of their time for.

While each partnership community will have its own interests, leadership, organization and goals, following are some elements common to all successful efforts:

  • A group of people with a common interest.
  • Committed leadership.
  • Willingness to dialogue, listening to every voice, dealing with the inevitable conflict and disagreement in a positive, respectful way.
  • Ability to articulate message and engage people in it.
  • Patience, perseverance and belief that change is inevitable.
  • Secure needed resources of space, books, materials and sponsors
